• Keep candles out of reach: Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets. 
• Don't leave candles unattended: Always extinguish candles before leaving the room or going to sleep. 
• Trim the wick: Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use. 
• Use a candleholder: Use a candleholder designed for candles and place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
